Discover one of Costa Rica’s most iconic natural treasures with a visit to Manuel Antonio National Park, world-renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity, its trails surrounded by tropical forest, and its beautiful white-sand beaches lapped by the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

The adventure begins early in San José, winding through the stunning mountains of the Central Valley and descending toward the Central Pacific coast. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Croc’s Skywalk overlook, where you can admire the views of the Tárcoles River and observe one of the region’s most important ecosystems. We’ll continue on to the Jacó overlook, where you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific coast and its natural landscapes.

Upon arriving in Manuel Antonio, we’ll make a brief stop at a hotel located very close to the entrance to the National Park, where you can comfortably use the facilities and get ready for the hike and your time at the beach.

Next, we’ll enter Manuel Antonio National Park to hike its trails surrounded by lush tropical forest. This protected area represents a major conservation effort for Costa Rica’s coastal ecosystems and is home to an extraordinary variety of flora and fauna. During the hike, you’ll have the opportunity to spot different species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, raccoons, tropical birds, and the iconic white-tailed deer, as well as many other species that find refuge within this important national park.

To help preserve the park, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to reduce the use of single-use plastics. It is also important to remember that National Park regulations prohibit bringing in outside food and that all visitors must maintain a respectful distance from wildlife, avoiding feeding it or interfering with its natural behavior.

As we walk through the park, you'll be able to appreciate the richness of tropical ecosystems and understand the importance of protecting these areas for future generations.

The hike ends at one of the park's beautiful beaches, where you'll have time to relax, enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific, or simply take in the natural surroundings that make Manuel Antonio one of the country's most visited destinations.

When you leave the park, you'll have time to explore some of the local shops in the area, where you can find handicrafts and souvenirs made by local artisans, thereby supporting the local economy and the communities that make up this tourist destination.

Afterward, we’ll head to a local hotel to enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to San José, taking with you unforgettable memories of an experience that combines nature, conservation, local culture, and some of Costa Rica’s most spectacular landscapes.
