This tour combines adrenaline, tropical landscapes, and an authentic connection with nature, making it an ideal experience for those who want to experience the thrill of the rapids while exploring one of the country’s most biodiverse regions.

The day begins with a departure from San José toward Sarapiquí, passing through stunning mountainous landscapes, agricultural plantations, and vast areas of tropical forest. As we make our way into the region, you’ll be able to appreciate the natural richness that characterizes this area, known for its abundant flora and fauna.

When you arrive at the operations center, you’ll receive a safety briefing and all the equipment you need to enjoy the activity with complete confidence. Once you’re ready, you’ll set off on an exciting journey down the Sarapiquí River, navigating Class III rapids accompanied by highly trained professional guides.

For about two hours, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of adrenaline and nature as you navigate continuous rapids surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Between the calmer sections of the river, you’ll be able to admire the natural landscape that makes Sarapiquí one of Costa Rica’s top adventure destinations.

At the end of the tour, you’ll return to the operations center, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Costa Rican cuisine prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a unique exhibit inspired by leaf-cutter ants, where you can observe up close the incredible organization and work of these species, which are considered essential to the balance of tropical ecosystems.

Afterward, we’ll head back to San José, leaving you with unforgettable memories of a day full of excitement, nature, and adventure in the heart of Sarapiquí.
